PETS
Unfortunately, the homeowners we lease from do not allow furry friends. :(
LEASE DURATION
While most people opt for a 12 month lease, we offer 3-5 month leases for a 10% surcharge, and 6-11 month leases for a 5% surcharge. The utility fee will stay the same price regardless of duration.
UTILITES
Most houses have a flat monthly service fee of around $50-$75/mo depending on the size of home and number of occupants. Whats included? Heat (natural gas or electric), electricity, water, and internet (most houses have fibre optic 1Gb/s from Telus).

ROOM FURNISHINGS
Each bedroom comes with a bed frame, mattress, desk, chair, closet or wardrobe.
If you'd like the room unfurnished, we can move out the existing furniture (except the wardrobe or closet) for a one-time fee of $250 to cover moving and storage.
ENDING LEASE EARLY
No problem, just find someone to replace yourself. In Vancouver, demand is high and we often have a waiting list.
HOUSEMATES
Our communities tend to attract people in their 20's and 30's and alot of them are new to Vancouver and looking for hiking and adventure buddies. Each house has it's own instagram account to show you what kind of activities they enjoy! Find one that fits you!
DISHES
Empty sink = happy housemates! No dishes in the sink, ever. Each house selects mature applicants who follow this. If you can't do that, you might be more suited for a studio apartment and not a shared house.
CLEANING
All houses share the cleaning responsibilities, so expect to contribute around 20 min a week to a weekly chore, on top of cleaning up after yourself in the kitchen. Some houses also choose to have cleaners come in once a month to keep things extra ship shape.
HOW SOCIAL ARE THE HOUSES?
Each house has it's own vibe and is looking for you to add your spice to it! Some have weekly dinners, others do events for birthdays and holidays and have spontaneous adventures. Be sure to ask them when you meet them for a house tour to make sure there's alignment!
THE LISTING SAYS IT'S AVAILABLE FOR SEP 1ST, CAN I MOVE IN SEP 11TH?
The applicant who is the best fit and is paying starting Sep 1st will get priority. You are more than welcome to pay starting the 1st and move in when it's convenient for you.
CAN I MOVE BETWEEN COMMUNITIES?
We've got 9 communities across Vancouver, so if you need to relocate for a job, or just to try a new part of town, you are always welcome to check out our other homes!
DO YOU OWN THE HOMES?
I wish I did! If I owned 9 homes in Vancouver I could retire and move to the mountains to start my dream tiny house community! Sadly we don't own the homes, we lease all of the homes from their homeowners. :)
